About Us
Okay, so we took a few liberties in translating the rallying cry of the French Revolution to come up with our Team's motto, but heck, if the shoe fits . . .
LIBERTY. Every year since 1997, our small group has cut a small swatch out of our frazzled lifestyles in order to remind ourselves why it is that we work so hard in the first place. We pick a long weekend, select a wild river surrounded by stunning scenery, and leave our work (and our spouses) for the freedom of the outdoors.
FRATERNITY. Over the years, Team Entrada Regatta has grown -- from 3 in 1997 to 15 in 2011. We now hail from six states and three countries. And as we look into the new millennium, we see the Entrada Regatta family continuing to grow. New friends invite new friends who invite new friends. That is what it's all about.
LUXURY. Let's just say that our idea of "roughing it" is sleeping on a comfortable air mattress, on a deserted beach, under a sky full of stars, following a steak dinner prepared by our river guides.

What, you might ask, is an Entrada Regatta?
Since 1997, we have set aside one weekend each year to leave our loved ones behind, spend a weekend rafting, hiking, biking, and generally pretending that we are younger than we are. Our little group is dedicated to public service, the environment, and living clean, healthy, energetic lives. While you are welcome to visit our web site, please keep in mind the site is intended for personal use only. We are not a company, an organization, or a public service. Rather, we are a group of friends who come together every year to see good, feel good, and do good.
"For his significant contributions to the National Park Service, Jonathan Aronie is recognized as an Honorary Naional Park Ranger. He inspires all members of Entrada Regatta to reflect on the significance and value of of our national parks... He has given the National Park Service and the American people a gift that will inspire our public with pride..."

"Congratulations on your 20th anniversary! How fitting that you are sharing the 20th anniversary of your pilgrimage to nature with the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service...
P.S. Of course, this letter will be rescinded and a whole different letter written should it come to light that your yearly trips to nature are, as some of your significant others likely suspect, really spent drinking watered down but expensive martinis poolside in Vegas."
Wisla Heneghan
VP/General Councel
The Nature Conservancy
“Your shameless efforts to garner notoriety have now brought your exploits to the attention of the world’s foremost financial regulator – the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.”
C. Lewis
Director and Chief Economist

“Over the years, Entrada Regatta has evolved into an event of mythical proportions. Indeed, I would say that the activities that actually transpire during Entrada Regatta far exceed the hype that precedes it."
F.P. Mainella
Director, United States Department of the Interior
National Park Service
“While purists may quibble that ER Bylaws specifically exclude most family members, it is my belief that getting the ER participants outside constitutes a type of progress that may eventually carry over into their everyday lives and the lives of their wives, significant others, and children.”
J. Adams
Director, Pacific Region
National Wildlife Federation
